Eloyn was born as the second child of the noble Loyalar family, the only female of 3 siblings. She was an honest and energetic girl who enjoyed a happy childhood growing up amongst games and mischief with her brothers. There was never a dull moment living in the fortress of her Father Baron Elton, a large manor that guarded the river crossing near the village of Brynth. As in most noble houses and from a very tender age all three youngsters were educated in the arts, diplomacy, politics, history, religion and swordplay; spending what other time they had getting in and out of trouble.

As years passed the inseparable Loyalar siblings and especially Eloyn were distraught when the youngest of the three, Eldrick at age 8 became gravely ill and never fully recovered, leaving him weak and almost in a bed ridden state. Thus when the time came for the noble family to finalize the education of their children, of course Edwyn the eldest and heir to the name was to go off into the noble world of politics and aristocracy. Whilst to maintain and enhance the family’s power in the military and since young Eldrick was almost out of the question Eloyn was chosen, leaving the youngest of the three to become the religious leader between them and was shortly after sent to the main temple of Bahamut in Hyrkan to begin his training as a cleric.

It was for this reason that at the age of 13 Eloyn was dispatched to the capital and enlisted in The Royal Military Academy to be further schooled. A strong sense of duty and honor was enforced into her, along with the strict military code of conduct and the importance of cohesion in a group. She excelled in hand to hand combat but her true strength turned out to be strategy and leadership. Just after the summer of her seventeenth birthday her training was finished but once again the ever reaching hand of her family intervened. Much to Eloyn’s dislike she was bought an officer commission in the military, there it was expected of her to skillfully and using her family name climb ranks.

Eloyn detested the fact her rank was bought for her and to the annoyance of her father, petitioned being sent to a fort or settlement far off from the capital, hopefully in a conflicted area where she could prove her worth. Time passed quickly and no more than 3 months into service, the young noble was sent to a small fort protecting the Hyrkanian entrance to the Korveld Pass.

It was a relatively calm settlement with little to no action. Few merchants traveled the pass up north towards the barbarian lands and even fewer attacks were registered. Then one fearful night after around a year of working hard trying to earn the respect of her men and superiors all hell broke loose. The ill prepared settlement was brutally attacked most men slaughtered but as the enemy forces broke into the inner keep, Eloyn devised a cunning ambush slaying many attackers and as they pulled back, she led a valiant counter-attack barely chasing them away. This single event earned her much praise and a promotion to a captain that she accepted gladly.

Personal Traits & Characteristics

Eloyn has green eyes that are characteristic of her family and long brown hair. She wears a beautifully crafted set of chainmail with her family crest engraved where the collar meets the left shoulder plate. (Said armor was a present from her Father rewarding her heroic actions defending the outpost at Korveld pass.) Above these she normally wears the Hyrkanian military tabard along with a matching traveler’s cloak.
When in service she always braids her hair but only in combat does she wear the magnificent helm that is the final element of the armor set.
